JUNE Meetings

La Leche League of Charleston, SC has THREE meetings that are FREE each month.

This June our first meeting is in Mount Pleasant and is always the 1st Friday (June 3) at 10:15 a.m. at St. Andrew's Church in the Old Village. This meeting is downstairs when you come in the church after parking on Venning St.

The next one is the 3rd Friday of the month (June 17) at 10:15 a.m. at John Wesley United Methodist Church on US 17. This is in West Ashley. When you come into the church, just walk on past the front office and through the glass doors and we are in the room near the gym.

The newest of our meetings is now held in Mount Pleasant Hospital off of US 17 in the northern part of Mount Pleasant. This is the 3rd Tuesday of the month (June 21) and it will sometimes fall before our West Ashley meeting and sometimes fall after that meeting. This meeting is held at 9:30 a.m. and when you come into the lobby of the hospital the person at the Reception will open the doors for you.

There is also an evening meeting run by La Leche League of Summerville the 3rd Tuesday of each month as well. This meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Summerville Church of Christ on Old Trolley Road.

We often hold our meetings in churches because the donated space is free and keeps our costs to a minimum. La Leche League is a nonsectarian nonprofit.

The First Friday of the month: Friday May 6th, 2011 at 10:15 am at St. Andrew's Church Mt. Pleasant 440 Whilden Street. The parking lot is on Venning Street and so is the entrance to the church. We will have signs directing you to the room.

La Leche League Meetings are open to all women interested in breastfeeding. Babies and toddlers are always welcome and meetings are always FREE.

La Leche League International is a nonprofit, non-sectarian organization that provides breastfeeding information, encouragement, education and mother-to-mother support. Please join us and feel free to bring a friend.
