December 2013

Our Mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

We hope this year has been good to you.  We look forward to the fun in 2014!

Holiday TOY Fundraiser & November fun!

Our mission as La Leche League of Charleston, SC is to help mothers breastfeeding through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education.  We offer free meetings, on-line support via our facebook group and via email and phone.  We often like to use hand-outs and educational books or items at our meetings.  We hand out flyers with our meeting reminders and try to keep our expenses to a minimum while being able to meet the needs of our families.

We are excited to have the opportunity to share with you a super fundraiser in time for holiday shopping!  Discovery Toys are educational toys, books, CDs and games for every age.  Their baby items make wonderful holiday gifts and also are so durable they often can be handed down or passed on before they wear out!

We feel this will be a win-win for our families and our group!  Please shop and share!
La Leche League will receive 10% of what you spend and you will have awesome toys in time for the holidays!

You can choose to have them shipped to you or to Naomi (if you choose this option you can pick up your items at a December meeting).  All shopping can be done from now until November 29.  There are toys for baby, toys for elementary, family games and some great options for homeschoolers as well.

Also, as you clean out those closets to make room for holidays, please remember we are holding a Mom/Baby donation drive for the young mothers at Florence Crittenton Home for Pregnant Teens.

Remember all meetings are free.  While we greatly appreciate your support with memberships (thank you to all our super members who are so vital!!), you do not have to be a member to attend.
