Leche League of Charleston is part of La Leche League International, an
international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing
support, encouragement, information, and education to women who choose to
breastfeed.
La
Leche League of Charleston offers support and information through:
- Online
Mother to Mother support group (on fb)
- Scheduled
South Carolina or Charleston Conference Calls
- FREE monthly
meetings / gatherings (see below!)
- Telephone
help from experienced leaders (call us for free!)
- Lending
library with books on childbirth, breastfeeding, parenting and related
subjects (depending on which location and may depend on membership)
- Local
Leaders Evaluation and Planning meetings 4 times yearly
- Statewide education conferences (one coming up this June!)

We have free and relaxed circle gatherings. Come to be supported or share support. Our philosophy is based on parents helping
one another. Starting with good information
and making our own choices that work best for our families.
Our motto is “take what works and leave the rest”.
Babies and children are always welcome. Volunteer Leaders are trained and accredited.

Live Love Latch Lowcountry 2016!! What a fun day! Thank you!
Thank you to aLLL who came out for this year's World Breastfeeding Week Celebration!!
We had a blast this year at the Charleston County Public Library.

Live, Love, Latch! is a National Breastfeeding Month celebration presented by La Leche League USA and hosted by LLL Groups throughout the country during National Breastfeeding Month.
Live, Love, Latch! events are designed to not only celebrate breastfeeding, but to also highlight community support. All in attendance at a Live, Love, Latch! event will be counted as participants, who declare their support of breastfeeding in their local community and beyond.
Thank you to the La Leche League Leaders for their hard work this year. Especially Edith and Joy for taking on the Chair roles this year! Also, thanks to Naomi, Kat, Tamsen, Scotty, Erin, Beth & Marlea for their hard work behind the scenes and the day of! Thanks to the moms who also helped to set this up, help at sign in tables, selling t shirts and donating items too!
