La Leche League of Charleston, SC has THREE meetings that are always FREE each month. Babies and children are welcome. These meetings are fun and social but also full of info. They are not classes that you need to register for. Feel free to come late or leave early as you and your nursing need.
This July our first meeting is in Mount Pleasant and is always the 1st Friday (July 1) at 10:15 a.m. at St. Andrew's Church in the Old Village. This meeting is downstairs when you come in the church after parking on Venning St.
The next one is the 3rd Friday of the month (July 15) at 10:15 a.m. at John Wesley United Methodist Church on US 17. This is in West Ashley. When you come into the church, just walk on past the front office and through the glass doors and we are in the room near the gym.
The newest of our meetings is now held in Mount Pleasant Hospital off of US 17 in the northern part of Mount Pleasant. This is the 3rd Tuesday of the month (July 19). This meeting is held at 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 and when you come into the lobby of the hospital the person at the Reception will open the doors for you.
Our Mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.
